Shannon King, secretary at St. Charles Borromeo, recently received the Faith-Based Office Professional Award given out by the Michigan Association for Non-public Schools.
As students graduate from high school, they are often reflective of their experiences. The graduation speeches delivered at St. Philip Catholic Central High School by their students highlighted what their time meant to them and what an impact the family and community surrounding them had on their lives.
More than 30 percent of students from Battle Creek Area Catholic schools’ (BCACS) community come from underrepresented racial and cultural groups. Administrators believe this vibrant diversity is a gift to BCACS, though they recognize it also comes with a challenge.
