Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
We are all aware of what a historic and unique school year our educators, staff and students confronted during 2020-2021. I am immensely proud of the exemplary efforts and hard work of our Catholic school communities. Each of our Catholic schools have gone above and beyond to serve our precious students including adopting to new methods of teaching, tending to the spiritual and emotional needs of students while still maintaining a commitment to academic excellence. With Christ at the center of our education, our educators serve our families as they
would serve their own. Our students witness this servant leadership and emulate it as they serve their communities.
Our Catholic Schools are important to the entire Church. They are not just important to those students who are able to attend Catholic Schools; they are not just important for those parishes which have a Catholic school as part of their parish life; they are not just important for those who are “products” of Catholic Schools themselves. Our Catholic Schools are an integral and important part of the way our Church fulfills her mission.
I invite you to spend time with the pages of our Annual Report to see how together we are helping to lead our children, our future leaders, on a faith-filled journey. May God Bless our Catholic school communities and may they continue to thrive for generations to come.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Most Rev. Paul J. Bradley
Bishop of Kalamazoo
